Company presentation

Tosama, a sanitary supplies factory, is a company with more than 95-year tradition in the field of production. It all began with a small »cotton wool and manifold bandages shop« and today products by Tosama can be found everywhere – in hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, on shelves in stores and shops, in every woman’s toilet bag. In the world, we are known as a modern company that has been developing, manufacturing and selling hygiene and medical supplies since 1923. Most of our products have been developed at home, in Slovenia, as we are driven by the thought that our customers deserve constant care, responsible relationship, and guaranteed quality. Tampons, sanitary pads, and various cotton wool products come from our production halls daily; we produce everything that needs to be at hand for wound and injury care (bandages, plasters, compressions etc.). We also offer a rich assortment of medical devices, young mothers find everything for their babies, there are a lot of products for the garden, and we are especially proud of novelties – most recently added to our offer are pet supplies.

Today, Tosama manufactures over 1200 different products, among which quantities of hygiene tampons produced stand out the most. Did you know that Tosama is the second largest manufacturer of private label tampons in Europe? We produce as much as 560 million pieces yearly.

Celebrating 100 years

Experience and expertise

Our development, and production and marketing activities, pride themselves with a rich tradition which began in 1923. Our development strategy includes these two main guidelines: “NATURAL”: wherever possible – from checking basic raw material origin to ensuring harmless decomposition in natural environment – we pursuit what is best for people and their environment.

“EFFICIENT”: we strive for every product to also help with accompanying discomforts such as pain, irritations, and infections beside their basic purpose. We build our development on our own ideas and tight connections with universities, institutes, producers of raw materials and equipment.

Standards and certifications

We prove our qualifications as well as our business conduct and product compliance by implementing ISO 9001, ISO 13485, MDD, BRC, DPP, GOTS, FDA, PEFC, ISO 14001, OEKO Tex standard 100 quality and environment systems, and by complying with other national directives of individual countries (TGA, Nordic Ecolabelling) and requirements for customer health security of the products.
