Today

2008 after the purchase of majority ownership, the company was privatised.

That year, commercial part of the company was drastically reorganised, since then, every program is responsible for its products from idea to the shelf independently.

2009 was a year of great achievements: we developed the first modern Slovene wound dressing, Vivamel, and invested in equipment for its production; we introduced a new sanitary pads line, Natura Femina Organic (organic cotton sanitary pads), and a new long-stretch compression bandage, Vivavene to the market; we also obtained a patent protection for one of our tampon types.

In 2011, we recorded intensive expansion of our offer: we started producing surgical operation kits, composed in accordance with our clients’ wishes (CPT sets), we designed a complete line of plasters and bandages – Vivacare, we started establishing our own retail network and opened a new (second) store, we started selling our products in Tosama online shop, and our care products underwent the largest rebranding in history of the company (Viriana and Jasmin brands were redesigned as a new Jasmin brand). We broke new grounds by designing Vivaneovene short-stretch bandage set.

In 2012, Tosama patented two new tampons and registered the first product to be entered on a positive list of a foreign country (Vivamel in Austria).

2013 90th anniversary of the company was marked by working atmosphere. Tosama’s retail network of White Shops (Bela štacunca) was expanded by three new shops in Slovenia. Adorable pet product line PikaZoo was born. New line of teen cotton sanitary pads, tampons, and cotton wool pads, Jasmin Girl Nature, was well accepted on the market.
In 2014, we developed the Natura Femina by ellen brand in cooperation with a Swedish company Ellen AB and introduced tampons and probiotic cream to the market. Products by Tosama found their place on the shelves of three new White Shops.

2015 was the year of the American market penetration. We obtained FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) registration and started selling cotton and organic cotton tampons on the U.S. market. It was also a very innovative year – we developed the first unisex sport pads in the market with a patented material, Tencel, and swimming tampons that prevent water from entering vagina – made with Tosama’s patented technology called AquaBlock.
